Walking Soccer

The Maryland Soccerplex is excited to offer this excellent opportunity to continue to play, the game you love in a friendly environment.

First established in England and becoming a widely recognized sport played across the globe, walking soccer (North America) allows older and less-able men and women to participate in the game they already know and love, minimizing their risk of injury.

Who can play? Anyone – the game is 6v6 which includes a goalkeeper, but can be adapted to 5v5 -9v9 with a smaller field.

What age can play? All ages can play, but usually the 40-plus community

Why Play? Health, social and mental benefits.

What’s different from soccer? You must walk (have one foot on the ground at all times), no contact tackling, the ball does not go above head height.
