Our COVID-19 Protocols are based on the current mandates set by the Montgomery County Health Department. We ask that you follow them to allow us to bring sports to the youth of Montgomery County during this difficult time. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you do not come to the Maryland SoccerPlex or the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse. Please note, as COVID-19 is a fluid situation, these policies and procedures are subject to change based on current local, state, and federal mandates. Please refer to the CDC Guidelines if you test positive for COVID-19.

Programs at the Maryland SoccerPlex and Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse

Camps at the Plex:

As your child’s health and wellness is of the utmost priority here at the SoccerPlex, we will take steps during our 2021 summer camps to ensure their safety.

We are no longer accepting walk-ups for camp. All registrations must be completed online, and all required documents must be submitted before the first day of camp electronically.

While each camp will have specific modifications within it to allow for COVID 19 precautions to put into place, we will be doing the following for all camps:

Smaller Groups: Groups of Campers will not exceed 50 campers. Each camper will stay in the same groups throughout the entire day.

Pick up and drop off: Curbside pick-up and drop-off will be observed for all camps. Please note that parents/guardians are not permitted to exit their vehicles. Our staff will meet & greet you at your car.

Masks: While masks are not required, we do recommend that persons who are not vaccinated to wear masks.

Handwashing/Sanitize Breaks: Campers will be participating in mandatory sanitizing/hand-washing breaks throughout the day.

Lunch: Each child must bring their own lunch! The Café at Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse will remain closed!

Cleaning/Sanitizing Equipment: Our staff will be routinely cleaning/sanitizing all equipment throughout the day.

Inclement Weather Policy (for summer camps only): In the event of a storm, campers will be brought inside the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse for the duration of the storm. Each group will remain spaced out inside of the Fieldhouse to best practice social distancing. (Heat Advisory, Severe Thunderstorm, Tornado Watches and Warnings).

SAM Soccer COVID 19 Policies

Clinics and non-league programs:

In addition to the overall changes implemented by the Maryland SoccerPlex, we are taking precautions to ensure we do our part in making our classes and programs as safe as possible.

Please note: The response to COVID 19 is a very fluid situation as we learn more about the virus and ways to combat it. As such our rules will change as state and county guidelines change. Please check from time to time to ensure you are aware of our most up-to-date rules and regulations.

Precautions we are taking:

Masks – Masks are not required but are highly recommended in indoor spaces.

Cleaning of Equipment – Equipment used in all programs will be cleaned before and after each use. While we have spare soccer balls for classes, to prevent the need to share it would be best if you bring your own ball to class.

Hand Sanitizing – The Maryland SoccerPlex has placed several hand sanitizing stations throughout the indoor and outdoor facilities.

Leagues and Games:

  • Face masks are no longer required for players, coaches, referees, and spectators.
  • The Maryland SoccerPlex has placed hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the facility for your use.
  • We ask that every participant uses their own equipment, and no sharing of water bottles.
  • We have dedicated staff members to clean and disinfect the restrooms facilities frequently.

Individuals may still choose to wear face masks while at the SoccerPlex and while actively playing. The Maryland SoccerPlex strongly encourages individuals eligible to be vaccinated to get vaccinated. Individuals not currently vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings and continue to social distance. Individuals who are not feeling well and/or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 should remain home.
