About the Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship will help prepare the participants for a future career in the turf grass industry. Apprentices will work in the day-to-day Sports Turf Maintenance operation at SoccerPlex guided by Maryland SoccerPlex Field Maintenance Standards. Apprentices will also receive classroom education & participate in on-field research trials.

Time Requirements:

• 1 full calendar year
  • 2000+ hours on field supervised “specialty” work
  • 160 hours of classroom instruction
