SAM Clinic Coaches – Part Time

The seasonal Soccer Coach will be responsible for the coaching of SAM soccer clinics for youth ages 2-12 at the Maryland SoccerPlex. The seasonal Soccer Coach will lead and teach classes based on a set curriculum, which focuses on fun, challenging activities and character development, under the guidance of the SAM Managers

Manager on Duty (MoD) – Part Time

Weekday Evenings and/or Weekends.  As a member of the SoccerPlex crew, this individual is responsible for opening and/or closing the facility as well as overseeing all indoor and outdoor activity including sports and non-sport events. Individuals will also aid in monitoring facility conditions by supervising part-time employees, assist in maintaining a clean facility, as well as interact with patrons to address their questions or concerns.  The MOD will also serve as basic security for the facility during their shift.

Seasonal Job Opportunities

Summer Camp Counselors (Fun for All Sports Camp) & Coaches (SAM Soccer Camp)

Camp Counselors & Coaches will assist the Camp Director with leading, teaching, and motivating campers at the camps at the Maryland SoccerPlex and Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse (AHF). The camp counselor/coach will oversee groups of campers weekly, lead activities based on a curriculum provided by the Camp Director, respond to and report incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents to the Camp Director, and discuss camper participation and concerns with Camp Director, parents, and other camp staff members. Accepting applications from Rising High School Seniors & College students. Applicants should be patient, dedicated, fun-loving, reliable, responsible, personable, hard-working, communicate effectively, work well with both children and young adults, and previous work experience is preferred. A background check is required. This position is part-time and will require availability Monday-Friday during the summer.

Hourly Rate: $16.00 – $18.00/hr depending on experience

Camp Director (SAM Soccer Camp)

A background check is required. This position is seasonal and will require availability Monday-Friday during the summer.

Assistant Camp Director (SAM Soccer Camp)

The Assistant Camp Director will assistant the Camp Director with leading, teaching, and motivating campers at the SAM Soccer Camp at the Maryland SoccerPlex. The Assistant Camp Director will oversee groups of campers weekly, lead activities and follow the curriculum for the camp created by the Camp Director.  Just like the Camp Director, the Assistant Camp Director will respond to and address incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents and discuss camper participation and concerns with the Camp Administrator as well as with the Programs & Camps Manager, parents and other camp staff members. Accepting applications from College students. Applicants should be patient, dedicated, fun-loving, reliable, responsible, personable, hard-working, communicate effectively, work well with both children and young adults, and previous work experience is preferred. A background check is required. This position is part-time and will require availability Monday-Friday during the summer.

Fusion Camp Instructor (Half-Day, PM Position)

The Fusion Camp Instructor will lead and motivate campers during the STEAM portion of Fusion Camp at the Maryland SoccerPlex and Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse. Fusion Camp is the afternoon half of our combo program with SAM Soccer Camp, running from 1:00 PM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday during the summer.

The Instructor will be responsible for conducting engaging STEAM lessons and hands-on activities for a group of up to 15 campers. They will foster a safe, fun, and educational environment where campers can explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through interactive projects. The Instructor will also respond to and address incidents, such as behavioral issues or accidents, and communicate with the Programs & Camps Manager, Camp Administrator, parents, and other staff regarding camper progress and concerns.

The Instructor will:

  • Lead and motivate campers through daily STEAM programming.

  • Manage and supervise their group to ensure safety and participation.

  • Respond to and address incidents (behavioral issues, accidents, etc.) as needed.

  • Communicate with the Programs & Camps Manager, parents, and other staff regarding camper progress and concerns.

We are accepting applications from college students and young adults. Applicants should be patient, creative, dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with children. Strong communication and classroom management skills are important. Previous teaching or camp experience is preferred.
