Is this an indoor camp?

Sports Meets the Arts is both an indoor and outdoor camp. Campers spend half the day participating in sports and the other half creating art.

  • Sports activities take place outdoors or in indoor athletic spaces as needed.

  • The art portion is held indoors at the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse in our Grand Art Room.

  • Campers enrolled in the SAM Soccer Morning (Playmakers) option will participate in soccer outdoors during the morning before transitioning indoors for arts in the afternoon.

What should my child wear?

Since campers will be active throughout the day, they should wear comfortable athletic clothing and sneakers, and bring plenty of water.

Campers in the Playmakers (SAM Soccer Morning) option should also wear or bring soccer-appropriate footwear and shin guards, if preferred.

What should I pack for my child?

Full-day campers should bring a packed lunch, snacks, and plenty of water each day.

What should I pack for my child on Splash Park days?

On Splash Park days, please have your child wear their swimsuit under their play clothes and pack:

  • A towel

  • A full change of clothes (shirt, shorts, socks, and sneakers)

If using a secondary bag, please ensure it is clearly labeled and easily identifiable by your child.

Please apply sunscreen before arriving at camp. If your child needs to reapply during the day, be sure to pack sunscreen in their bag.

Note: Splash Park visits vary by camp option. The Playmakers (SAM Soccer Morning) option includes Splash Park playground visits only.

Do campers have to wear masks?

Masks are optional.

What is the withdrawal & refund policy?

Withdrawal and refund requests must be submitted prior to the start of the camp week session. Refunds will be issued minus a $60 non-refundable administrative fee per camp week.

This administrative fee applies to all camps held at the Maryland SoccerPlex and Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse. No refunds will be issued for missed sessions or after the final session of a camp week.
