Looking for the perfect balance of active play and hands-on learning? Fusion: Sports & STEAM Camp offers campers the opportunity to stay active in the morning and explore STEAM in the afternoon—all in one full-day experience.
Campers may choose from two morning sports options, followed by an afternoon STEAM session indoors:

SAM Soccer Morning Option: Campers begin the day participating in SAM Soccer Camp, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game play.

Fun for All Sports Morning Option: Campers start their day in our Fun for All Sports Camp, rotating through a variety of sports and games designed to promote movement, teamwork, and fun.
After lunch, all campers transition indoors for an engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) experience. Afternoon sessions include hands-on projects, creative problem-solving challenges, and interactive experiments led by experienced instructors.
Designed for kids ages 8–13, Fusion: Sports & STEAM Camp is ideal for campers who enjoy being active while also exploring creativity, curiosity, and innovation. This full-day camp keeps campers moving, learning, and engaged all summer long.

What to do after you register:
- Camper Health Forms
- Must be completed prior to the first day of camp
- Online version of the Camper Information Form
- Pdf version of the Camper Health History Form and email completed form to camps@mdsoccerplex.org
- Campers, who do not reside in the state of Maryland, need to complete the Department of Health form DHMH-896 and emailed to camps@mdsoccerplex.org
- Must be completed prior to the first day of camp
- Medical Forms (If applicable, the following forms must be completed and emailed to camps@mdsoccerplex.org at least 15 days prior to the start of the camp session)
- Medical Disbursement Authorization Form (required if your child must take medication while they attend camp)
- Asthma Action Plan
- Seizure Action Plan
- Specific field assignments for each week will be emailed out prior to the beginning of the first day of camp.

Is the camp indoors or outdoors?
Fusion: Soccer & STEAM Camp is both an outdoor & indoor camp. Campers will begin the day outdoors with SAM Soccer Camp, focusing on soccer skills and gameplay. After lunch, they will head indoors for an engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program, where they will work on exciting hands-on projects and interactive learning activities.
What type of activities will the campers be engaged in?
During the morning soccer session, campers will participate in various soccer drills and games designed to improve their individual tactics, techniques, and teamwork.
In the afternoon STEAM session, campers will explore a variety of creative and scientific projects such as building rockets, designing circuits, engineering structures, and engaging in problem-solving challenges. These activities encourage critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in a fun, hands-on environment.
How are groups formed?
Campers will be grouped by age and ability for the soccer portion of the camp, ensuring they receive appropriate coaching and skill development. Groups will remain together throughout the week for both soccer and STEAM activities.
What should my child wear?
Campers should dress in comfortable athletic clothing suitable for both outdoor and indoor activities.
- Morning soccer: Cleats are required.
- Afternoon STEAM session: Sneakers or flats are recommended for indoor activities.
What should I pack for my child?
Full-day campers should bring:
– A packed lunch & snacks
– A refillable water bottle
– Soccer cleats for the morning session
– Sneakers or flats for indoor STEAM activities
– Applied sunscreen before arrival
Do the campers have to wear masks?
Masks are optional.
What is the withdrawal & refund policy?
Withdrawal and refund requests must be submitted prior to the start of the camp week. Refunds will be given minus a $50 non-refundable administration fee per camp week. This administration fee applies to ALL camps held at the Maryland SoccerPlex and Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse. No refunds will be issued for camp sessions missed by the participant or after the final session of a camp week.
