To all the players, families, and friends who joined us for Quiet Weekend—thank you! 🙌⚽ From the creative costumes  to the amazing team spirit both on and off the field, you helped turn a slightly rainy weekend 🌧️ into a true celebration of community, sportsmanship, and fun.

We loved seeing the smiles 😃, hearing the laughter 😂, and feeling the incredible energy that makes SAM Soccer so special.

What is Quiet Weekend?

Once every season, we set aside one weekend for something unique—SAM Quiet Weekend.

During this time, all adults—coaches, parents, and spectators—are asked to refrain from directing any verbal communication toward players or referees during games. It’s a moment of pause and purpose.

Why do we do this?

• 🧠 Player Growth: When the sidelines are quiet, player-to-player communication naturally increases. Kids are free to problem-solve, make decisions, and explore the game on their own terms.

• 💡 Deeper Learning: Without multiple voices giving directions, players tend to figure things out for themselves, creating learning that sticks and builds confidence.

• 🤝 Better Sportsmanship: Quiet games reduce tension between adults—on the sidelines, between teams, and with referees—fostering a more respectful, enjoyable environment for everyone.
