⚽ SAM Soccer’s Must-Know Rules for Players & Parents
We’re excited to kick off another great season at SAM Soccer! Whether you’re a returning player or brand new to the fields, we’re glad you’re here. Before kick-off take a quick look at these helpful reminders to keep things fun, safe, and positive for everyone. Let’s make this our best season yet!
📍 Field & Facility Rules
Please help us keep SoccerPlex safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone:
-
No pets on fields (leashed pets allowed on paved paths only)
-
No smoking or alcohol anywhere on the grounds
-
Park in designated areas only
-
Warm up beside goals, not in goalmouths or closed fields
-
Do not move equipment (goals, flags, benches, water jugs)
-
Clean up after yourself — trash and recycling bins are everywhere!
🙌 Respect the Game
We’re all in this together — players, coaches, referees, and families.
-
Coaches are responsible for the behavior of their teams and supporters
-
No physical, verbal, or emotional abuse will be tolerated
-
Respect our referees — abuse will result in immediate removal
-
Our officials are professionally trained with MSYSA and SAM Soccer for fair, consistent play
🟦 Sideline Reminder for Small-Sided Games (Image link provided below)
To protect our natural grass fields, teams and spectators must stay on the outside sidelines during small-sided matches.
-
Do NOT sit or stand on the interior (middle) touchlines — this area is part of the full 11v11 field and needs to stay in top condition
-
Spectators can sit along the outer touchlines, corners, or behind goals (as long as it’s not distracting to goalkeepers and allowed by the referee)
-
This is not a new rule — just a reminder to help protect the fields for future 11v11 play

🏆 Fair Play Please!
Let’s lead by example. The Fair Play Please program highlights outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect on and off the field.
Thanks to your support, SAM Soccer is proud to be recognized as a Club of Winning Culture. Let’s keep it going!
