Players and Parents: The Select League is a team-based registration, but we understand your child might be looking for a higher level of play, below are the current opportunities that Select league coaches have communicated with us!
Combine Opportunities: TBD
The combine facilitated by the SAM organization is to host a comfortable and simple training session/playing environment in which players come and be watched by coaches from within the SELECT league. Register Here:
The next combine is for both male and female players ages 2017 to 2013
If you have a son or daughter are looking for a team we can help, but do not have a combine for the age group. SAM will connect you with multiple coaches for you to arrange your own evaluation session.
The combine is a three step process:
1. Register Here: to attend the combine
2. Attend the combine and do your best
3.Coaches from within SELECT will then email or call you to ask you to join a team or attend a training session their club runs. At this time make sure you evaluate the coach, the team and the other parents. Is the coach a good fit for your son? Does the team welcome your child and are friendly? Do the parents shout from the sideline?

Coaches! Looking to put up a tryout announcement? See below on how to do so! In order to have your notice posted, you must send it in the format shown below and send to gburke@mdsoccerplex.org
Send an email with a header “Select Tryout Notice” with the following information and in the format shown:
Current Age Group and Gender of Team (ex., BU14 (2005)
Team Name (ex., Clarksburg Bombers)
Contact Name (ex. Joe Schmo)
Contact Email (ex, joeschmo@gmail.com)
General Practice Location (ex., Darnestown ES area)
For new teams (new to our Select League) you must post a $100 non-refundable deposit before we will post the notice on the website. If your team registers for the Select League the $100 will be applied to the team’s registration fee.
Returning teams do not need to submit a deposit and their notices will be posted free of charge!

CORE FC is looking to add players who LOVE Soccer to our SELECT Program. Our focus is to Develop the technical aspect of our players so they can become strong dribblers with ability to change direction multiple ways. We have USSF Licensed coaches with over 15 years of experience coaching Nationally Ranked Travel teams. We practice in Rockville, and at times in Olney.
